Program Director, MedStar Institute for Innovation
Mandy has diverse experience delivering results in corporate, agency, entrepreneurial, and nonprofit environments. Her areas of expertise include public/media relations, executive/program positioning, public affairs, corporate communications, talent development, and program and event management.
In her work at MedStar Institute for Innovation (MI2), Mandy serves as a program director and is a key leader of many MI2 marketing communications, workplace culture, and operations initiatives. Examples have included the development, management, and scaling of MedStar Innovation and Design (MIND) Lab initiatives; startup challenge and pilot work; and other MI2 media relations, PR/communications, external alliance, and culture initiatives. Mandy also served as the director of Health for America (HFA) at MedStar Health, a past fellowship program embedded in MI2 from 2015 to 2018, intended to activate rising talent to help invent the future of health.
Mandy previously consulted for Forté Foundation, a nonprofit working to increase the number of female business leaders; a global pharmaceutical company; and MI2. Prior to this, she led public relations for the Americas talent team at EY, a global professional services organization, covering workplace matters such as recruiting and diversity and inclusion. She also held client-serving roles at leading public relations agencies after beginning her career completing the Orr Fellowship, an entrepreneurial fellowship program. Mandy graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts in communication.
