Catalyze Innovation that Advances Health

Julia McSorley

Associate Product Manager, MedStar Telehealth Innovation Center

Julia has a background in hospital operations, serving as patient services manager for the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute (MGTI) for three years. In this role she was responsible for the daily operations of the outpatient transplant clinic, comprised of 17 exam rooms and a laboratory, seeing 1,150 patient appointments per month. Working with members of the MedStar Institute for Innovation (MI2), she served as the department’s implementation leader and staff educator for the usage of telehealth across MGTI’s eight regional outreach clinics. Julia is excited to have joined MI2’s MedStar Telehealth Innovation Center and to use her operational background to help other service lines find the best ways to incorporate telehealth into their practices. Her role focuses on telehealth products intended to connect one MedStar provider to another, some of which can be seen in use in MedStar PromptCares, MedStar Emergency Departments, and in patient homes with the MedStar Visiting Nurse Association.

Julia graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in science-business. She continued her studies at Georgetown University, graduating with a Master of Science in health systems administration.
