Chief Healthcare Informatics Architect
Fidrik is a healthcare informatics architect at the MedStar Institute for Innovation (MI2). He oversees software architecture and development, and information technology. His main projects are in design and development of consumer health applications for mobile and cloud platforms—emphasizing the importance of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and data security.
Over the past three decades, Fidrik has been involved in hundreds of small and large complex medical informatics projects for various platforms. He is the co-creator of MedStar Health's Azyxxi / Amalga clinical information system, which integrates, organizes, and displays data from disparate sources—including legacy systems—in real time.
Fidrik received his Master of Science in computer science from the George Washington University and his Bachelor of Science in computer mathematics from Carleton University, Canada.
