Sarah Ingersoll (M.ED) has over 20 years of experience directing projects and strategic communications in the public, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors. Prior to joining MedStar Health, Ms. Ingersoll directed Text4baby, enrolling 650,000 women and making the new public/private service the largest mobile health initiative in the United States. Ms. Ingersoll has served as an investment advisor for high net worth donors at the Democracy Alliance donor network and for Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and managed sensitive communications, clients, or partners at the Brave New Foundation, National Funding Collaborative on Violence Prevention, and Annie E. Casey Foundation.
Ms. Ingersoll is also an expert at strategic communications. She ran Facebook’s first pro-social campaign with Rock the Vote, produced an international climate change art contest, engaging the support of the Huffington Post, Center for American Progress, national environmental groups, and key celebrities and leaders – bringing new voices and allies to these causes. At the U.S. Department of Justice, she managed the strategy, communications, and operations for a program awarding $650 million in grants.
Ms. Ingersoll has a Masters in Education from Harvard University.
